FOSTL Annual Meeting

  • Springfield Town Library 43 Main Street Springfield, Vermont 05156 United States (map)

Friends of the Springfield Town Library (FOSTL) will hold their annual meeting on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 6:30 PM in the Flinn Room of the Springfield Town Library. The meeting will allow community members to learn about the organization’s activities and upcoming initiatives.

After the meeting, Meagan Frappiea, a local filmmaker and former 4th-grade student of Pat Graves, will be the guest speaker. Meagan, a Springfield High School graduate, studied Film Production at Keene State College and has an extensive career in the film industry. After working for Florentine Films, a renowned production company led by Ken Burns, she and her husband co-founded their own company, Slate Roof Films, in 2013. The company specializes in producing documentaries and videos for hire.

Meagan and her team received notable recognition this past year, winning Best NH Feature Documentary at the New Hampshire Film Festival. During her presentation, Meagan will share insights about their documentary exploring the urban legend of Springfield, VT being on Hitler’s WWII bombing list. Additionally, she will discuss another of her company’s productions, the compelling film “Sara’s Circus”.

This event is free and open to the public. We invite all members of the community to attend and hear from one of Springfield's own, as well as to engage with FOSTL’s efforts to support the library and local culture.

The Friends of Springfield Town Library (FOSTL) was organized as a Vermont non-profit corporation in 1989 to support the Library. It focuses public attention on the Library, encourages the use of its resources and services, provides additional resources and services not funded through tax support, and encourages and receives gifts and bequests to benefit the Library.

Membership is open to everyone interested in supporting the Library. Through fundraising activities, membership dues, and donations, FOSTL can provide exceptional extra support for the Library every year.
