Family Passes to Parks and Museums

Museum & Parks Passes

Thanks to the Friends of Springfield Town Library, the following passes are available to be borrowed.

The passes are due 3 days from the day you checked them out (not counting days we’re closed). Passes may only be checked out on adult accounts (not on a child’s account). Please call before coming to get a pass as they are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Passes may not be reserved in advance.

To provide equitable access for all, beginning July 1, 2024 :
***No more than two passes may be borrowed at one time.
***A pass to a destination may only be used once each month.
***All passes must be returned before another can be borrowed.
***A $5 per day late fee will be assessed if a pass is not returned on time.

Passes labeled as “Coupon Pass” are passes that do not need to be returned and are not listed in our online catalog.

American Precision Museum -- Coupon Pass

Note: This pass DOES NOT NEED to be checked out.
You will receive a coupon pass that doesn't need to be returned.
Free admission for up to 2 adults, and up to 2 children. (Windsor, VT)

Billings Farm & Museum

Free admission for 4 persons (ages 3 and up).  Not valid for fee-based programs, events and workshops. (Woodstock, VT)

ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain

The pass allows $7.00 admission per person, maximum of 4 people. (Burlington, VT)

Edgar May Health and Recreation Center

Pool pass, and Open Play pass: Free admission for 1 family. (Springfield)

Fort at Number 4

Free admission for 2 during the regular season.  Not valid for special events, fundraising events, classes or workshops. (Charlestown, NH)

Hildene: The Lincoln Family Home

Free admission for 1 adult and up to 2 children ages 6 through 16.  Children under 5 are admitted free. The pass does not include Guided House Tours or Behind the Scenes Archive Tours (There is an additional charge for each). Please check their website for current hours and days of operation. (Manchester, VT)

 Nature Museum at Grafton

 Free admission for the whole family. (Grafton, VT)

Vermont Granite Museum

This pass provides free admission to all in the patron’s group or family

Vermont Historical Society--History Museum & Heritage Galleries
This pass provides free access for the whole family at both locations:

  • Vermont History Museum (109 State St, Montpelier, VT 05609)

  • Vermont Heritage Galleries (60 Washington St, Barre, VT 05641)


Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS)

 $5.00 per person; Admits 4.

Vermont State Historic Sites

Free entry for up to 8 people and one vehicle.  Multiple locations including Bennington Battle Monument, Mount Independence, Eureka School House and many more. See this website for more information.

Vermont State Parks

Free entry into State Park Day Areas for up to 8 people and one vehicle. The operating season varies by park.

Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum (Rutland)
Free admission of 2 adults and 3 children under the age of 18. Additional people will pay the regular admission prices (12 months and under - free; Children and adults - $5, Seniors and military - $4.).
