Springfield Town Library has a full line-up of opportunities for you. See our upcoming events. Some programs do require registration via Eventbrite (our online registration). Below are the regularly scheduled events. Special programs will be held each month. Stay in the loop by checking the list often.

Youth
Preschool Story Time - Mondays at 10 AM in collaboration with the Springfield Area Parent Child Center's Playgroup.
We Love Books Book Club: Second Tuesday of each month at 4 PM. For youth in grades 3 & 4, as well as homeschoolers in that age range. Each month we will read a book, create projects, discuss and explore ideas from the book and have fun!
Golden Dome Award Book Club: First Tuesday of each month at 4 PM. For youth in grades 5-8, as well as homeschoolers in that age range. Read and discuss the Golden Dome Book Award nominees.
Teen Advisory Board: for youth in grades 9-12. Plan activities for your age level. Get community service.
Adult
Crafting with Tracey: monthly opportunities to get together and create. See your possibilities and sign up using Eventbrite. There is no charge for these events, sponsored by the Friends of Springfield Town Library (FOSTL) and your town library. Donations to FOSTL are welcome.
Page Turners: Group meets at 10:30 AM on the second and fourth Friday of each month to discuss a short story. Stop by to get a copy of the next story.
Library Book Group: Not your usual book club! Join us on Zoom or come into the library at 3 PM on the first Friday of each month. Let's talk about what everyone is reading. Enjoy some laughs with a great group. Get in touch If you are interested in joining.
On the Same Page Book Club: Monthly selections are read and discussed on the third Tuesday of each month at 12 PM in the library or via Zoom. Copies of the book will be on the ‘new’ fiction shelves. Contact Tracey to learn more.
Third Monday Evening Book Club: Held at 6 PM in the Flinn Room on the third Monday of the month. Books are selected by group members in advance. The library will order the books for individual participants at least a month before the group meets to discuss the previous book. Join in-person or via Zoom.
Springfield Chess Club: Do you want to learn how to play, want to help others learn, or just want a night out to play chess against others? Get together with players aged 12 - 99 in the Flinn Room at 5:30 PM on the first Monday of each month. Chess boards are available or bring your own.
